Staff Training Blog - Urgent Update Regarding Use of Face Masks

Hi everyone, you should all be aware from the recent shout out that it is now recommended that face masks should be worn in the workplace when there is a good chance that you will come within 2 meters of a service user (this includes out in the community). Due to the nature of the work that you all provide, it is likely that you will meet this criterion for the duration of your shift (except for when on breaks). We appreciate that this may feel drastic and a little scary, but we would like to reassure you that this is simply an extra preventative measure to ensure our staff and service users are kept as safe as possible; to date, we have not had a single suspected case of Covid-19 with any of our service users - the preventative measures we have in place will continue to be monitored and updated accordingly.

In order to ensure you maximise the effectiveness of the face masks, your training team has put together this short video to assist you in the safe putting on (Donning) and taking off (Doffing) your mask.
